Shooting wedding preps is always fun. You capture the dress, rings, and bride. What I have been using to capture most of my footage during the preps is a 35mm or 50mm lens. You get great bokeh by using these lens. However, I bought a Tokina 100mm macro lens for my ring shots. I was thinking about using my 100mm macro for other shots other than just rings shots. I took it out on a shoot one day and realized how wonderful the bokeh was. Not only was the bokeh beautiful but since it is a macro lens you can get really close to your subject if need be. Anyone who has a 85mm lens or above will understand when I say you can’t be too close to your subject and have them in focus too. This is why the Tokina 100mm macro lens works so well. You can be close or far, and I almost forgot to tell you how sharp this lens is. When I first started doing my research on what macro lens I should buy I turned to Ken Rockwell. He explains how well this lens really is. So, I am planning on using this lens on a few shots during my upcoming wedding. I am sure it will be a stunning experience.
